Marketing Internship

Job Duties
With guidance from the Account Managers, and latitude for independent creativity:
- Develop and execute marketing plans and programs to ensure the profit growth and expansion of client’s products.
- Research, analyze, and monitor market performance and competitive activity to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Oversee the organization’s advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic, and direct mail outlets.
- Work with agencies, marketing partners, and internal staff to oversee design, layout and production of promotional materials.
- Assist in calculation of ROI and the maintenance of a satisfactory profit/loss ratio and share of market performance.
Education/Experience
The successful applicant will have a background in marketing and have strong project management skills with excellent analytic, communication, implementation and creative skills. We are seeking an outgoing, hands-on individual who can operate independently and who can also work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Our internship will provide experience working on and leading a variety of marketing projects ranging from product experience (i.e., launching or trailing new products), promotions that includes events, contests, DM, online, grassroots activities, etc., research, online marketing, local marketing coordinated activities, plus much more.
Join us 8-25 hours per week for the next six months. Work hours are flexible and you will work on-site and remotely.
This is an unpaid internship but will give you valuable professional experience and a rare inside look at an early stage company entering a high growth period. Plus, the team is a lot of fun and will bring you into contact with engaged, interesting people.

Client Services Representative

Job Duties
Xorbia Tickets is seeking a Client Services Representative that will be responsible for client support services and event programming duties for clients in the local market. Duties include but are not limited to: supporting Xorbia's new product initiatives; remaining current with new software; assisting with client training and providing overall event maintenance. This position is also responsible for the timely creation and programming of events on the Xorbia Tickets System. Event programming requires accurate input of ticket prices, service/facility charges and other relevant information. The CS Representative will work closely with clients and spend significant time at their venues, assisting box offices with any problems or concerns that may arise. The CS Rep distributes event information to other internal departments and works closely with Marketing, Accounting, Call Centers and Client Services. Candidate must be willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed to support client’s events and ticket sales.
Education/Experience
College degree preferred. Knowledge of season event programming process is required. Box office and season ticketing experience is a plus. Candidate must be service-oriented, possess good organizational and communication skills, and be able to successfully handle multiple priorities. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Marketing Manager

Job Duties
This position will provide Marketing support for the New York area. Develop and implement marketing/promotional plans with clients and marketing partners to increase ticket sales through Ticketmaster’s distribution channels including internet, phone and ticket center locations. Heavy emphasis is placed on increasing internet sales through integrated marketing and promotional programs. Implement marketing support for Ticketmaster products. (AccountManager/GroupManager/TeamExchange). Support sales efforts of Ticketmaster products and services; specifically MailManager sales; training clients; integrating MM within marketing campaigns. Secure local media/ticketdeal partnerships. Assist in the negotiation, preparation and execution of contracts. Assist in preparation of proposals and sales presentations. Maintain and nurture client relationships including venues, promoters and local media partners.
Education/Experience
BA/BS degree in related area and more than three years of promotions/marketing experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication is necessary. Presentation skills are essential. Strategic thinking; creativity and strong attention to detail required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Power Point for Windows and the Internet required.
