HOToberFest expands its unique combination of craft beer, live music, arts and crafts, and eclectic food, all delivered 'off the grid' by way of solar power and biodiesel generators.
HOToberFest is designed as a family-friendly event with a large public area featuring the music pavilion, sustainability market, concessions, and a children's activity area. An array of popular local restaurants will be selling their specialties along with traditional festival favorites such as genuine German brats, pretzels and other special edibles. The musical acts currently slated to perform include:
- Five Eight
- Charlie Wooton & Zydefunk
- Copious Jones & Donna Hoplins
- Dialect Trio
- Sehwe Village Percussion
- Art Vandelay
Other solo performers and bands representing a range of genres may be added over the coming months. The arts area will feature local, regional, and national artisans offering a broad selection of original works for sale.
As a non-profit production, "HOToberFest" raises funds for local charities as it promotes this sustainability awareness. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will go to TREES Atlanta and Legacy World Missions. "There's no better way to support these incredibly worthwhile causes and have a fantastic day listening to live music, shopping the artist area, and sampling and voting for some of the best craft beers in the world," says Alan Raines, co-founder of HOToberFest. The fundraising centerpiece of the event is the beer-tasting and brewery competition, featuring over 250 craft beers from around the U.S. and the world.
