Skating Piedmont Park In The Year 2010! The Rink at Park Tavern will open in November. The Rink will reside in the Garden Tent and will be complete with modern amenities: for day & night skating, a heated tent, piped-in music with a mega sound system, and rink-side dining.

 

End of Season Pass Winter Sale

We have extended The Rink to run through February! You can now skate for $1 a day. Our season pass retails for $300 and is now yours for only $30! The pass pays for itself in 2 visits! The winter season pass includes skates and skate sessions for any and all sessions not fully committed for private functions. As a season pass holder you will enjoy the benefits of being able to skate at any and all sessions regardless of session being sold. Private Parties are private and therefore not open to Season pass holders.

Ice Skating Lessons

Are you interested in ice skating lessons from a professional? Please contact Caitlin McDonald for more information at c.mcdonald@whynatte.com or call (404) 247-3030. Caitlin is available Monday - Friday 7am - 11:30am and 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Caitlen is also available anytime on Saturday or Sunday. Pricing structure depends on the number of people, length of time, etc. A 60 minute private lesson for 1 person is typically $75. Group lessons are a little more, and again depends on the number of people.

Marianne Turner, former USFSA Competitve Skater is available for lessons. Private lessons average $35 for 1/2 hour and $75/hr. Marianne is available for group lessons and birthday parties. Contact Marianne for lessons at 404-285-0574 or email mrs.rt@att.net

Ice Skating and The Rink Rules

  1. All participates when they purchase tickets are acknowledging they are electronically agreeing to a participation waiver.
  2. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for them.
  3. Follow directions of the skate monitor on duty & staff at all times.
  4. Skates must be worn to enter the ice surface, and socks must be worn with ice skates.
  5. No one is permitted on the ice while resurfacing is occurring.
  6. While wearing skates, please stay within the rubber floor area.
  7. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a guardian 18 or older.
  8. Helmets and safety gear such as: such as a helmet, knee & elbow pads, and wrist guards highly recommend and NOT PROVIDED. Children 8 and under must wear a helmet, and parents must provide.
  9. Announcements must be adhered to at all times by skaters.
  10. No racing, speed skating, or tag is allowed during public sessions.
  11. Skating across traffic or cutting in front of other skaters is prohibited.
  12. Eating and drinking is not permitted on the ice surface.
  13. No Smoking is allowed in The Rink Tent.
  14. Cell phones or personal music devices my not be used on the ice.
  15. No hockey sticks or pucks are allowed on the ice during open skate sessions.
  16. Jumps and spins will be confined to center ice. Jumps are not permitted during busy public sessions.
  17. Beginner skaters should skate along the sideboards.
  18. Skaters should avoid stopping on ice next to sideboards as beginners need to use this area for support.
  19. No more than two skaters may join hands while skating. Chain skating is not permitted.
  20. Carrying people or articles on the ice is not allowed.
  21. Do not sit on, lean over, climb over or leave articles on the sideboards.
  22. Skaters agree to allow The Rink the right to use Holder's image, likeness, voice, actions and/or statements in all forms and media including composite or modified representations for all purposes, including advertising, trade, or any commercial purpose. (In other words, I know that my picture may be taken at this event, and it may appear on the website or on promotional material.)
  23. Lock all personal belongings in a locker provided in the rink area. The Rink is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
