Pamoja Penda, Swahili for one community love, is a day music festival to benefit the Ugandan American Partnership Organization?s work with refugee communities in Northern Uganda and to raise awareness for grassroots organizations in Africa and Atlanta. The festival will include headliner bands, African bands, and local bands as well as documentary feature films, keynote speakers, a sustainable market with art stands and local vendors, service activities and a barefoot soccer tournament. Our philosophy for the festival is to encourage fans to act locally and give globally. It is also totally green! The music will be powered by the sun and wind. We are connecting communities and working on local and African sustainability together.
